Ilona Zaremba: Living History
April 15 – May 17

We warmly invite you to join us for a solo exhibition of encaustic paintings by Ilona Zaremba. Ancient in origin -- first used by the Greeks to paint the hulls of their ships -- the time-intensive encaustic technique involves the combination of wax and oil pigments. Ms. Zaremba works with pots of molten encaustic in a rainbow of warm hues, painting layers onto a canvas surface and then reworking the layers with a blow torch and carving tools. The result is a lustrous surface with rich textures. Opening receptions will be held on Friday, April 15 (5-8 p.m.) and on Saturday, April 16 (4-8 p.m.).

Georges Mazilu: A World of Possibilities
May 20 – June 21

Please join us for this striking exhibition featuring paintings, drawings and prints by the distinguished French/Romanian artist Georges Mazilu. The artist will attend both opening receptions – scheduled for May 20, from 5-8 p.m., and May 21, from 4-8 p.m. – and will be signing copies of his book. Mazilu is known internationally for his signature style linking contemporary surrealism with the art of the Northern Renaissance. The exhibition is viewable on line beginning May 15.
