Bold and contemporary yet earthy and enigmatic, Zaremba's abstracted compositions of landscapes, portraits, and monolithic forms unite the genres of painting and sculpture in luminous hues of red, yellow, orange, blue and brown.  Her technique involves first using a brush to build up multiple layers of hot wax tinted with oil paint and dry pigments, and then using carving tools to sculpt and texturize the layers to give them rhythm and dimension. The resulting surfaces are executed in deep relief, conveying the sense and mystery of old ruins and rusted metal.   Zaremba's work conveys the artist's deep reverence for the work of the Old Masters within the context of her own unique artist expression of timeless, enduring
beauty.
